The MV Tala hosted the IDC crossover for 5 new UTD (Unified Team Diving) instructors. Andrew Georgitsis the founder of UTD was onboard for 10 days working on the development of the program and the instructors. Unified Team Diving offers dive education training based on the Hogarthian/DIR philosophy.

Unified Team Diving now has 5 new instructors. 1 recreational instructor, 3 trimix instructors and 1 cave instructor. The program is very rigorous and the instructors are highly experienced with hundreds of hours of exploration diving and teaching under their belts. It was great to have such a group of experienced dive professionals on the boat at the same time.

The MV Tala crew and the Red Sea Explorers Team would like to congratulate both UTD and the new instructors on the achievement, and wish them luck in this new venture. We also hope to see them back here in the Red Sea for more diving. The MV Tala is an excellent location for dive education as the practicality of being on a liveaboard makes the logistics required for advanced dive education really simple. This gives the student more time to focus on the training and the lectures.
